View of Blankenberg at night
The town of Blankenberg is located south-west of the Rhein-Sieg-Kreis in a charming scenery.
The titular town of Blankenberg with its ruin of a fortress, a church and a gate is located high above the river Sieg. A town wall surrounds this well-maintained little town, which has a lot of half-timbered houses from the 17th and 18th century worth seeing.
The status of a town was given to Blankenberg in 1245. For quite a long time Blankenberg had been the smallest town of Germany. In 1934, it lost its status of a town again. Road

Introducing the Prince and Princess of Hennef, Westfalen, Germany.
It's festival time in Germany. The actual events will start in March (usually 40 days before Easter),
but last night, the Prince and Princess, stopped by the German pub where we happened to have a beer
- what a luck :)
