Transporting heavy industrial equipment. - We were driving in the opposite direction, but a police car came a few minutes in front of this big truck, to warn everybody to pull on the right side of the road until he passes. Sept. 23, 2010
Sept. 18, 2010 Trans Labrador highway Yesterday, we've been all the day on this gravel road (actually 7 hours) and finally arrived in Goose Bay/Happy Valley. This whole road from St. Mary (actually Red bay) to Labrador City (part has been just opened this year), is all gravel - about 550KM (330 miles) to Goose Bay. When there is a lot of rain, it becomes really difficult to travel. We've been a little worried about it. No place to stop even not a gas station or bathroom for 7 hours..., but, we made it! :) I hope to find some nice photos to take today in Goose Bay/Happy Valley. We didn't have an Internet connection, so sorry that I didn't upload anything for the past 2 days and no comments either - Thank you very much for all yours :) - I'll try to catch up with my comments today :) * Please look back to the past 2 photos uploaded.
