St. Lewis village, Labrador 2 days ago we left St. Mary heading North toward Goose Bay, on a cloudy, rainy weather. St. Lewis was the first stop, a very small, but nice and clean, village, well organized with lovely people. St. Lewis is the most East point settled in N. America - This, all East Labrador and Newfoundland are on the Greenland timezone, which is 1and 1/2 h earlier than the Eastern Standard Time Sept. 17, 2010

Welcome to St. Lewis, Labrador For those who don't know, this kind of "statue" of a man, built from stones simply placed one above other, is largely used in Canada. - Inukshuk sculptures are placed on crossing roads or important points, it indicates that somebody has been there, and it's a safe place. It's like a welcome sign, and it's become actually one of the Canadian symbols. Sept. 17, 2010
